Chevy's giving more!

Chevy’s giving more this holiday season! Get the best deals of the year on our entire 2014 line up at Uftring in Washington. But wait – we still have a great selection of new 2013 models (even some with hail discounts) that must be sold by year-end. New 2013 Vehicles in stock include Corvette, Camaro, Silverado, Express, Malibu, Tahoe and Sonic – plus many commercial vehicles ready for immediate delivery.

Year-end incentives and discounts could save you thousands of dollars off MSRP and time is quickly running out. We don’t advise you to wrap a new Chevy and attempt to put it under you Christmas tree, but we do suggest a nice big bow on top to make your new Chevy the best gift ever…even if it’s a gift to yourself.

Jaguar ranked number one

Jaguar was recently named number one in the automotive industry in the J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Index. We are so proud to carry the Jaguar brand here at Jaguar Land Rover Peoria. This rank was determined by an annual survey study of Jaguar customers. These customers ranked their satisfaction with their experience at a dealership.

Among every other luxury brand, Jaguar had a score of 740, the highest score of the year! The study’s purpose is to measure a person’s new vehicle purchase experience and it analyses customer satisfaction among buyers. We’d love for you to rank us! How did we do? Tips for holiday car travel

Many of you will soon be on the road for a holiday event with family and friends. Some of you might have no commute at all, while others might be driving for hours, or even days. The holidays are supposed to be a special time of year, and we want you to have the safest, easiest trip to wherever you’re going. Even if you haven’t purchased a vehicle from the Uftring family, these tips can still be helpful to you! Whether you’re traveling solo or with a car full of children and loved ones, safe traveling during the busy holiday season is most important.

1.     Get your car serviced before you leave. Routine maintenance is so important to keep your vehicle the best it can be. Procrastinating on taking your car in to be serviced can be harmful. Don’t end up on the side of the interstate waiting for a tow truck because you haven’t taken care of your car.

2.     Check the oil, check the tires. While you’re fueling up at the gas pump, make sure your oil is good to go and your tires are aired up and ready for miles and miles of possible snow and ice. Not sure if your tires are good enough? Stop by our service station, we’ll help you.

3.     Use your cargo space! So many of our vehicles come equipped with extra storage space for your belongings. Take advantage of your car, SUV or truck with extra cargo room for your suitcases, presents and more.

4.     Always have warm clothes in the car. Anything can happen. Be prepared for the worst. Keep a pair of warm clothes, blankets, coats, gloves, hats and scarves in your vehicle just in case.

5.     Check the road conditions before you leave. This is so important. Map your route before you take off, and get an idea of what the weather will be like. If the roads are already wintery and dangerous, use state road websites to see the conditions of the roads you’ll be traveling on. Click here to view Illinois’ road conditions site.

6.     Don’t forget the phone charger. Today’s new cell phones can keep a charge for much longer than they used to, but don’t risk it. Have a phone charger in your car just in case the battery runs low. Remember in Illinois, talking on your cell phone without a hands-free device will be illegal beginning in January of 2014. Be smart about distracted driving.

Share the Love with Subaru

Subaru’s “Share the Love” event is one of our favorite ways to enjoy the holiday season of giving! Subaru will donate $250 to a choice of different charities that benefit the greater Peoria area. Now that’s seriously awesome. With a new Subaru vehicle purchase, you can choose where that $250 donation goes. In the past 4 years, Subaru has donated $25 million to many different charities. We support the Share the Love event and we hope you will too.

Where can you donate to?

The ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels Association of America, National Park Foundation and Teach For America are all organizations that you can help donate to. Can’t decide on just one? No problem! Subaru doesn’t expect you to pick just one. You can disperse $250 to several organizations if you want to share the love even more. Charity selections will be accepted through January 31, 2014. Because these donations are being made by Subaru, donations are not tax-deductible to vehicle purchasers.

Each of these organizations affect our community and help make our community a better place. If you’re already thinking of a new Subaru, why wait? Purchase that new car you’ve been wanting and feel great for helping give back to the community as you drive away in your new wheels. Click here to learn more about Subaru’s Share the Love!

“Actually, quite a positive experience. I believe an accurate diagnosis. Accurate estimate for repairs. Friendly, comfortable and warm atmosphere in the waiting room (with a friendly attendant, who actually greets each person, and offers them coffee, tea, hot cocoa, bottled water and snacks, and a current newspaper!) Great "service" (what it is all about, and what many places fail to do now!).” – Gary J.

“As always, the service was excellent. Dave (of the Blue team) is always extremely friendly, helpful, gave me an accurate time frame of when our services would be completed and is always a pleasure to work with.” – Lisa V.
