Four Reasons Why You Should Own a Truck

Why Should You Buy a Truck?

Thinking of purchasing a truck? Not a bad idea! Whether you live in Illinois, California, New York, or Florida, it always pays to drive one. From the mix of conditions you face to the amount of trips that you take, you need a universal vehicle. Here are four reasons why you should own a truck!

1. Hauling & Towing Capability

You never know what you'll pack into your car next. Whether it's your son's stuff for his dorm room, a new bed or couch, or even a new bike, you don't realize how often you need the cargo space. The bed of a full-size pickup is approximately 6'7" long by 65" wide. That provides you with a lot of packing room! And, when you load up your Chevy Silverado or Ford F-150, you won't interfere with the seating inside. Not only that, but the later models as of 2010 have fantastic interior space. Transporting your cargo shouldn't be a chore!

If you're one of the many that lives a life of adventure, chances are you'll have some items that need towed. Whether it's a boat, a trailer full of tools, or even another vehicle, your truck will be able to handle it without any issue. For example, A Ram 1500 full-size pickup has a towing capacity of up to 8,400 pounds. There will be no second guessing when you hook up those jet skis to take down to the Illinois River with capability like that. There's no reason to struggle in a car or SUV with a task that could be so simple with a full-size pickup truck.

2. Multi-Terrain Capability

Driving in the midwest is a toss-up. One day, the roads are clear, and the next, you're skating on a sheet of ice and snow. Although the sights and views can be gorgeous, the conditions can be treacherous. So, why not own a vehicle with 4x4 capability and outstanding ground clearance? When you drive a full-size truck, the conditions brought on by the elements become an afterthought.

3. Safety

Trucks are nothing if not extremely safe! This quality goes hand in hand with multi-terrain capability. With powerful transmission alongside a powerful engine comes a powerful frame. And, with a powerful frame comes unmatched safety. The 2018 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Chevy Silverado all received an overall "Good" rating on aspects of crashworthiness (the overall integrity of the frame). The "Good" rating is the highest you can receive from the IIHS in that category. Wouldn't you like to drive around with peace of mind at all times? You'll have that in a truck.

4. Style

When you drive around Peoria, Morton, and Pekin, you prefer to look good! Although it may not be the most vital factor, it is highly considered. Trucks have a style of their own that can't be matched. Sure, SUVs have their own look, but some resemble Sedans. Trucks stand alone. When you see a lifted Chevy Silverado cruising down War Memorial, you look twice! Now, imagine you're driving it. Wouldn't you like to live out that possibility?

Chevrolet Celebrates 100 Years of Trucks with the Centennial Edition Silverado

Dependability Since 1918

Chevrolet has been preaching the same thing about their trucks since their fruition nearly a century ago. When you buy a Chevy truck, you'll experience dependability at its finest, a smooth ride, and a vehicle that is built to last, mile after mile. It's no secret that their year-in, year-out message has a following. You don't have a successful brand for 100 years without one. But it's more than the message that's earned this overwhelming praise. It's the fact that they stand by their message, backing it up more and more each year. When you buy a Chevy truck, you're given much more than just a vehicle. When you buy a Chevy truck, you're given a promise.

Centennial Edition Silverado

With 100 years of dependability comes a celebration and a thank-you. To administer both, Chevrolet has released the all-new Centennial Edition Silverado. This stunning 2018 truck features a new color as well chrome accents and special logos. Based off their original blue color, the 2018 Centennial Edition features a darker, Cobalt Blue to symbolize how far it's come as well as where it came from.

The patented "bowtie" logo has sleek lettering spelling out "C-H-E-V-R-O-L-E-T," maybe to foreshadow the original text on the back of the old trucks. Whatever the reasoning may be, it sure does pay respect to where it all started. On both doors beside the smooth logo, you'll see a chrome "100" that subtly displays the special edition qualities of this Centennial Silverado. This special Silverado is perfect for both the long-time Chevy truck supporter as well as the first-time Chevy truck buyer. And it's as dependable as ever.

So, where can you find one of these Special Edition Centennial Chevy Silverados? Uftring Chevy in Washington and Uftring Weston Chevy Cadillac, of course! 2018 Jeep Wrangler Review - Redesigned and Ready to Ride

2018 Jeep Wrangler

Jeep fans, get excited! The all-new (yes, all-new) redesigned 2018 Jeep Wrangler is here! For the first time in 11 years, this crowd-favorite SUV has some substantial changes. No need to panic, however. The Wrangler still stands out. And it still has all of the qualities that make it a Jeep.

So, what's new with this dynamic vehicle? For starters, this is the first Wrangler that's available as a hybrid, or eTorque, as it's labeled. This newly redesigned Jeep can, in fact, be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with electric motor assist.

You might be thinking that such a change like a hybrid engine might hurt the Wrangler's off-road capability. However, the lightweight aluminum body panels and high-strength steel frame would like to argue otherwise. These materials bring the Wrangler's overall weight down a couple hundred pounds, which more than benefits the eTorque update. So, no need to worry about hitting the hills or taking on the rough terrain. The all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler can handle it.

In addition to the frame material getting an upgrade, you'll notice some changes to the body itself. The seven-slot grille has received the slightest of makeovers, incorporating the round headlights to mesh with them, creating a new twist on two classic features. Other than that, the grill itself has a more defined curve, and the low front bumper has wide, LED lights attached. Both features provide a more aerodynamic and modern look that is sure to please Jeep fans everywhere. You'll still recognize it as a Wrangler, but you'll be pleased with its facelift.

The rooftop options on the 2018 Wrangler are now easier than ever to convert with lighter panels and slip-in, spring-assisted fabrics. And, if you really wish to make things easier on yourself, there's even a power-sliding fabric top option. No more stopping to get out when you feel a raindrop or two. Whatever your preference may be, there is sure a lot to choose from on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

Even the inside of all-new Wrangler has some exciting updates. From new, colored accents to stitched upholstery and real metal trim, sleek is the idea of this Jeep. So, when you feel like tearing up the off-road terrain, you can sit in your classy cabin while doing so. In terms of connection, you can enjoy interior features that control suspension, WiFi, and even a sound bar for maximum listening pleasure. When it comes to your experience, the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler provides you a pretty darn good one.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is the perfect combination of "all-new" and "classic." Its new engine is sure to make an impact on hybrid fans everywhere, while its subtle yet striking updates are sure to please Jeep fans all around. Want to see it for yourself? Stop into Uftring Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in North Pekin today and take a look!
